County Dental Offers Dental Exams for Your Family
Comprehensive dental exams for the entire family are part of County Dental’s preventative dentistry program.
At each exam, we check for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer, and other potential problems that may require treatment. Preventive care at County Dental also includes prophylaxis, which is the cleaning of the teeth and removes accumulations of calculus.
X-rays of your mouth may also be taken during your dental exam. We provide both traditional x-rays and digital x-rays that immediately produce a digital image that can be viewed during your visit on our computer screens in each operatory.
Why Do You Need a Dental Exam
and X-Rays Every Six Months?
Routine dental exams and x-rays are a big part of preventive dentistry. Preventive dentistry is the area of dentistry that focuses on those procedures and life practices that help people to prevent the beginning or progression of oral disease.
Preventative dentistry includes at-home dental care, as well as scheduling routine dental care visits and education by our professional County Dental staff in the Hudson Valley of New York. Maintaining a routine dental exam schedule is a big part of maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
